Welcome to Grounded – two dedicated Pilates studios in Huddersfield and Oldham, designed to help you move better, feel stronger, and stay connected to your body.

Grounded Oldham

Our Oldham studio, located on Broadway in Chadderton, offers a diverse mix of Reformer Pilates, Mat Pilates, and Yoga – all taught in a warm, inclusive environment.

At our Huddersfield studio, located on Crow Lane in Milnsbridge, we specialise in Reformer Pilates – offering small-group classes that focus on building strength, improving mobility, and supporting everyday movement.

FAQs

  • That’s absolutely fine – you don’t need any experience to start. Our classes are beginner-friendly and our instructors will guide you through everything at your own pace. We welcome all levels and are here to support you every step of the way.

    Beginners should book onto one of our Foundations class and you will find yourself amongst a friendly class with others who have been through the same journey as you.

    Everyone has to start somewhere, and we would LOVE you to start with us!

  • You don’t need to be fit or flexible to begin – that’s what the classes are for! Reformer Pilates is low-impact and can be adapted to suit all abilities, so whether you're just starting out or returning to movement after a break, we’ll help you feel comfortable and supported.

    Just book onto one of our Foundation classes and lets help you start that journey!

  • Both styles are rooted in the same principles of strength, control, and alignment. Mat Pilates uses your body weight for resistance on the floor, while Reformer Pilates uses a moving carriage, springs, and pulleys to add resistance and support. Reformer can feel more dynamic, and it allows for a wider range of movement and adaptations.

    Each style of Pilates compliments one another, and many of our clients attend both mat and reformer Pilates to get the maximum benefit.

  • Booking is easy! The easiest way to do it is to download the Grounded Pilates app on your App or Play store. Sign up and select either Oldham or Huddersfield as your main studio. You then need to purchase credits or a membership from the membership tab, and you can then use these to book onto the classes on our timetable.

    Remember to book a Foundation class if it is your first time.
